A new line of soft, durable casual furniture fabric is now available from The Astrup Company. A blend of PVC coated polyester and olefin fibers, Marquesa fabrics by Phifer offer comfort, durability, soft feel and high performance in deep seating applications in outdoor living settings as well as marine interiors. The fabric will not fade or fuzz and rates high in comfort with its soft textured weaves and patterns. Cushions stay smooth and hold their shape over time, thanks to the strength and dimensional stability of PVC coated polyester yarn in the blend, which also allows for designs with greater luster and depth of pattern. Due to the superior water-wicking and anti-microbial capabilities of these fabrics, outdoor furnishings, scatter pillows and umbrellas made with Mar­quesa fabric will dry quickly and stay mold-free with minimal care. The standard width is 54 inches and weights vary from 11.9-13.8 ounces per square yard depending on the pattern. Mar­quesa meets all standards for cushion fabrics as listed by the Casual Furniture Fabric Association including UV colorfastness and abrasion.
